Primary care with heart
opening march 2026
What if your doctor was different?
Imagine you arrive for your doctor’s appointment, and you skip the waiting room because she greets you warmly at the door. You know you have her full attention because you’re the only patient in the office. She is invested in a long-term relationship with you, so she is thinking about your concerns today but also your overall health. You know that if you have an urgent concern after hours, you can call her directly to navigate the situation. You are optimizing your health together.
Welcome to the office of Dr. Brittney Jergovich.
DIRECT PRIMARY CARE (DPC)
Direct primary care is a new model of healthcare that was designed by doctors. Patients pay a monthly membership fee to be part of a DPC practice, and all primary care services are included in this fee. You don’t pay extra for visits or procedures. Doctors in this model care for a smaller group of patients, which allows time for longer visits. This also gives patients access to their doctor when they need them (no more waiting weeks for an appointment!). Costs are transparent. You know exactly what you’re paying for your care, the way it should be.
If you’re not paying your doctor directly, they’re not working for you.
Think of direct primary care like a farmer’s market or an independent bookstore. You’re paying your doctor directly instead of using a third-party, and you receive unique, personalized care. Partnering with a family doctor is one of the best choices you can make for your long-term health. There is immense value in a relationship with a trained professional who not only knows your medical history but also knows you.
how it works
It’s simple. You pay a monthly membership fee and receive unrestricted access to primary care services. Your doctor is available to you by text, email, phone and for office visits. This includes after-hours availability for rare, urgent issues. Costs are transparent and predictable. You develop an important relationship with your family doctor who is dedicated to a long-term relationship with you.
DPC practices do not accept any form of insurance, though you can use HSA or FSA funds to pay for membership fees. You can use your insurance for labs, imaging and medications. The practice has negotiated discounted cash rates for labs if you prefer. It is recommended that you maintain some sort of catastrophic insurance or join a health share plan for surgeries and hospitalizations.
